Castles in the Air is a collaborative rpg designed to tell stories like Little Women and Anne of Green Gables.

Set in the late 19th century, it follows a group of children who grow up together and remain connected even as they head their separate ways. It’s a game about their dreams, cares and struggles, their personal growth and failings, and above all else, what they mean to each other as years pass.

When you play Castles in the Air you will:

  • Create your own Gilded Age character: You’ll follow their journey from childhood into their adulthood and beyond. Watch their desires shift and grow as the world around them changes too.
  • Explore complex and heartfelt relationships: Perhaps you’ll go from childhood enemies to adult lovers, or sibling best friends to bitter enemies. Or perhaps you’ll never quite understand what you mean to each other, as your heart shifts and surges with the passing of time.
  • Struggle against your inner demons: Battle or harness your bosom enemy, your character’s greatest fault that will plague them throughout their life—the worst part of their nature. It will shape not just your own future, but how the world sees you.
  • Change with the changing times: Your character isn’t the only one that’s changing. As the 19th century draws towards its close, the world is becoming more industrialized, more connected, and the town you come from will not be the same as you remember it.
